This card is published by the Winthrop Improvement Association, the present owner of the Deane Winthrop house. The building was erected in 1637, and is one of the six oldest houses in New England. Judge Sewell, in his famous diary, writes of attending the wedding of Mercy Winthrop in the west room in 1700.
