This picture was taken in 1869 from Summit Avenue. The house in the foreground just showing the roof is Deane Winthrop House. If a magnifying glass is used, one may pick out the Town Hall. In taking the 1907 picture, owing to the removal of part of the hill, it was not possible to obtain the same view.
