Photos show front and rear views of the granite memorial with a bronze plaque listed Wakefield's casualties in the two wars. The monument is located at the extreme south end of the Upper Common.
Dedicated to these Wakefieldians who gave the supreme sacrifice in Korea and Vietnam. Korea - Gerald F. Scott, Richard W. Marson, Edward J. Meuse, Jr. Vietnam - Anthony G. Velardo, Peter F. Schramm, Peter B. Rich, John J. Fitzgibbons, John P. Legge, Harvey A. Duhy, Jr. - text from south (front) side of monument. "Dedicated by Thomas F. Inglis, U. S. Army 30th Inf. W. W. II" - text from north (rear) side of monument.
The monument is part of the Common Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places
