Two children, a boy and a girl, and a dog sitting on granite steps. The boy is wearing a jacket, hat and knickers and the girl is wearing a dress, hat and coat. The dog's breed appears to be that of a small terrier.

The photograph appears to have been taken in the fall as leaves are scattered around the stairs.
